Baltimore Street Art
Artist: Jamal Tendajii Lee and ERND
Location: 1901 North Howard Street
Don’t miss this impressive collaboration mural of Josephine Baker right around the corner from Graffiti Alley!
The large eyes in the background of this mural make me think of the 1925 novel “The Great Gatsby” by F. Scott Fitzgerald. In the novel, an old advertising billboard is dominated by the eyes of Dr. T.J. Eckleburg and those eyes seem to watch the novel’s characters as they commit some of their most damning acts.
